THE SPACE
The practice room is a quiet space in downtown Reykjavík for yoga, breath and meditation. Housed in an old graffiti painted home on Frakkastígur, the space carries a interesting story.

Families have lived here, different communities have gathered here, and for more than a decade the house has been a home for yoga and spiritual practice. Today, cared for by Ananda Marga, it continues its tradition as a place for reflection, learning, and inner exploration.

There is something difficult to describe about practicing here. Perhaps it is the history held within the walls, perhaps it is the countless hours of practice that have taken place in these rooms. Whatever the reason, many people feel a sense of calm as soon as they step through the door and walk up the stairs to our space.

THE PRACTICE
At The Practice Room, yoga is approached as a practice rather than a performance. Classes explore movement, breath, stillness, and rest, drawing from traditional teachings while remaining accessible to modern life.

Whether you are completely new to yoga or have been practicing for many years, you are welcome here. Classes are taught in English and welcome both locals and travelers. We gather in a simple and supportive environment where there is space to slow down, pay attention, and return to what matters. We invite you to experience the space for yourself.
